Core Principles of the Campus Circle Community
At Campus Circle, we are committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment where students and educators can connect, collaborate, and grow. This code of conduct outlines the principles and rules that guide our community, ensuring it remains a safe and productive space for all members. The Campus Circle project is hosted in Federal Republic of Germany.
Core Principles
- Respect and Inclusion: We celebrate diversity and welcome all opinions within the boundaries of mutual respect. Disagreements are natural, but all interactions should be constructive and solution-oriented.
- Open Communication: Strive for clarity and politeness in discussions, especially in online formats where misunderstandings can occur more easily.
- Equal Opportunity: No member should face discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or any other personal attribute.
Rules for a Welcoming and Safe Community
- Relevant Contributions: Ensure your messages and posts are relevant to the topic or discussion. Avoid spamming or duplicating content unnecessarily.
- Identity Transparency: Register with your real name and institutional email address (preferably associated with ORCID for verification). Impersonation is strictly prohibited.
- Confidentiality: Avoid sharing sensitive personal information or private content without explicit consent.
- Non-Commercial Use: The community is not a platform for commercial advertising. Sharing events or resources involving commercial actors is allowed, provided they are relevant to the community’s purpose.
- Intellectual Property Respect: Only share content you have the right to distribute, and always credit original creators. Avoid misusing or claiming others' work as your own.
- Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Threats, bullying, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
Community Management
Community moderators ensure the integrity and safety of the platform by:
- Monitoring Content: Removing posts that violate the code of conduct.
- Issuing Warnings: Members who breach the guidelines will be warned and educated about the infraction.
- Removing Members: Severe or repeated violations may result in suspension or removal from the community.
Members can report inappropriate content or behavior through the community’s designated reporting channel. Reports will be reviewed thoroughly, and necessary action will be taken promptly.
